Pravvo-Specific Data Collection and Use

Payment Processing Data

As a payment processing platform, we collect and process specific financial and transactional data necessary to provide our services:

Account Information: First name, last name, date of birth, email address, phone number, business name, business address, business type, and verification status.
Bank Account Details: Bank name, account number, sort code, account holder name, and designation as default account. We do not store your actual bank login credentials.
Transaction Data: Payment amounts, currency, payment request details, transaction status, timestamps, reference numbers, and transaction metadata (such as service descriptions).
Verification Data: Email and phone verification codes, verification status, and verification timestamps. We use this data to prevent fraud and comply with regulatory requirements.

Pravvo partners with regulated third-party payment service providers to facilitate transactions. Currently, we work with Finexer and other authorized payment institutions. We carefully select payment partners that meet stringent security and compliance standards. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

AWS and Cloud Infrastructure

Our Service is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the EU-West-2 (London) region. This includes:

Data Storage: Your account data, transaction records, and business information are stored in AWS DynamoDB databases with encryption at rest.
File Storage: Any documents or files you upload are stored in AWS S3 with server-side encryption.
Secure Communication: All data transmission between your device and our servers uses TLS encryption.
Secrets Management: Sensitive credentials and API keys are stored in AWS Secrets Manager with restricted access controls.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for different periods depending on the type of data and legal requirements:

Account Data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 7 years after account closure to comply with financial regulations.
Transaction Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting laws.
Verification Codes: Email and phone verification codes are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after verification or expiration.
Password Reset Tokens: Deleted immediately after use or after 24 hours if unused.
Usage Logs: Server logs and diagnostic data are retained for 90 days for security monitoring and troubleshooting.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data:

Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
Authentication: We use JWT (JSON Web Tokens) with secure expiration for session management. Access tokens expire after 15 minutes, and refresh tokens expire after 30 days.
Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with salt before storage. We never store passwords in plain text.
Access Controls: We implement role-based access controls and principle of least privilege for our systems.
Monitoring: We continuously monitor for suspicious activity, failed login attempts, and potential security threats.
Regular Audits: We conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of our infrastructure.

International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily processed and stored in the United Kingdom (AWS London region). If we transfer data outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions, to protect your data in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We require all users to be at least 18 years old during account registration. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
